Superior Exhibits & Design, Inc. are looking for a machinist, builder, or inventor to create, model, and fabricate interactive exhibits utilizing CNC machining centers. Applicant must have enthusiasm, energy, and creative ideas. Applicant should have a desire to continuously learn new skills.

The skills and experience described below are desirable, but it is not necessary to possess all of these skills or experience.



Experience in developing and fabricating with CNC machining centers. Experience in museum/tradeshow interactive exhibits, or a similar field is a positive. A related technical or college degree is desirable. Experience estimating costs is a plus.

Interactive Mechanisms

Experience, knowledge, creativity, and ability in:

  • Designing and building mechanical mechanisms in Mastercam and fabricating them on machining centers.
  • Creating and reading blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Self-motivated, able to follow direction, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Typical Machining

Experience and knowledge of:

  • 2D and 3D modeling programs such as Mastercam and SolidWorks
  • Metal fabrication and welding
  • Metal machine functions

We are a full service Tradeshow and Museum exhibit fabricator in the Chicago area with extensive capabilities.

  • Machining: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CAM Programming: 1 year (Preferred)
  • SolidWorks: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CNC: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Fabrication: 1 year (Preferred)
