Design Engine Should Be Your Choice for CAD Training

At some point in our lives we have all been faced with a project or assignment that has overwhelmed us and made us want to pull out our hair. When first looking at a large assignment, we all have this immediate feeling of fear that we are never going to make it to the end. This fear and frustration that we feel only prolongs the process and causes you to take even longer to complete that assignment.

We, here at Design Engine, understand that frustration and that daunting feeling when you are assigned a large product and have made it our mission to eliminate that fear in order to increase productivity. Our main goal is to help you complete your projects faster and more efficiently without losing any value of functionality. We understand and relate to the stress and anxiety that comes along with these projects and want to help you to alleviate it.

Design Engine CAD training differs from other training options in a variety of ways. The first, and most important, difference is that our training is hands-on. We pride ourselves on our small class sizes and knowledgeable instructors that help to create the perfect environment to optimize our students’ learning. Our classes range from 4-10 students and we have found this range to be the most productive and conducive to project collaboration and feedback. Our students agree with us, in regards to our small class sizes. Any individual who has taken a Design Engine training course will tell you that the small class size enhanced their learning throughout the course. Along with the small class sizes, our instructors are also extremely knowledgeable about the programs that they teach. We ensure that our instructors are among the most skilled individuals in each CAD program. Our instructors know the ins-and-outs of these programs like the back of their hands. Each of our instructors has a long history of using CAD, which means that they have encountered any problem that a student may come across and also will know how to solve it. The small class sizes also ensure that each student will get ample amounts of valuable one-on-one time with the instructor where they can ask questions and interact with the instructor. Students have said that the relationships that they formed with their instructors over the duration of the class greatly improved their experience and is one of the reasons that they will come back to Design Engine for any of their future training needs.

Another key aspect of Design Engine training that separates us from the rest is that we offer a hands-on learning experience. At the start of the class you are immediately immersed into a project and immediately begin to learn the tips and tricks of the software as well as how to manage workflow efficiency. Because our training is hands-on, it allows for our students to learn the program intimately and to walk out of the classroom with a newfound confidence in how to use the program.

The knowledge and confidence gained from a hands-on learning environment are unmatchable. Hands-on learning, commonly referred to as Experiential Learning, has been around since 350 BCE when Aristotle famously proclaimed that “for the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.” Experiential Learning quickly became one of the most popular and most efficient ways for students to learn material in any subject. Studies have proven that hands-on learning is the most effective way for students to learn because it allows students to experiment with trial and error, learn from mistakes, and understand the material better. Because our training is hands-on, that also allows for us to shape our classes in order to suit the needs of the students in our classes. If a student wishes to acquire a certain skill that may not be in the course description, we are able to alter or modify the class to ensure that our students can get everything they want or need out of our classes. Because of the numerous benefits that students receive from hands-on learning, Design Engine prides ourselves on our ability to provide hands-on training which allows our students to get as much as possible out of every second they are in our classrooms.

The skills acquired during a Design Engine course and the confidence that our students receive help to prepare them for their next large project, so that when they are first presented with the project they do not have that initial feeling of “how am I ever going to finish this.” Instead, they look at the project and think “okay, this is where we have to start and this is how we are going to do it.” Improving one’s skills in any particular subject has its obvious extrinsic benefits, but the improved confidence gained through our classes enhances our students’ abilities to complete projects by ensuring them that they know exactly what to do to complete that project quickly and efficiently.

Due to our small class sizes, knowledgeable and skilled instructors and our hands-on teaching style, Design Engine has established ourselves as a leading training firm when it comes to all things CAD.
